Areas with lots of religious buildings

Many of these temples/churches have been there long before there is any master plan. Tear down everything old and rebuild? what will happen to our heritage? And please, spending billions of taxpayers money on fake trees after pulling down real trees... is that such a great idea?

If those lands were created from sea and we open them up for the citizens to enjoy, surely it beats turning them for a small section of people.

So now we have to decide which religion is worth the space to create their prayer hall on it? Is it only me or am I feeling something goes into the wrong direction here..?

I am sure the authorities would have good guidelines on how much lands to set aside for religious activities.
