Mmm, read from advertisment that Seagate and Maxtor offered easy to
use "one-button" backup for new comp users.

Anyone uses it a backup for your current drive.

I.e. if u have only one physical drive and partition to two logical drives
1. OS/application/ bootable
2. Data

Q1. Can the one-button backup both partitions?
Q2. Is the backup image bootable
I.e. if old_drive = A
Backup = B

If A dies, I promote B to bootable drive.
Can I just use B to boot up, and continue using?
I.e. buy a new one-button backup hdd = C for backup

TIA.

Any comments?
Or is it the wrong section??

TIA.

Last time I ask the sales person,he commented that the drive only back up the data and NOT the OS as one unreadable file image!!! The compression ratio is about 3:2 i think, cant really recall...

Thats all I know. Oh yea one more thing, the Maxtor only give 1 yr warranty, PERIOD!!
