I too am interested in the Prominent Nokton 50 1.5 for its bokeh. I read that they can be converted by sacrificing a summarit 50mm f1.5 mount. Would be glad to hear from seniors here regarding the conversion.

Thanks for info. Its interesting that they have adapters for the old Prominent system. Time to look for a nicely priced copy. Will be interesting to compare the look from the Nokton with the Summarit 50 1.5 and the old CZSonnar 50 1.5.

i have another Cosina Voigtlander 50 Nokton. live its colors. i heard the prominent Nokton excels in its bokeh.
but it is very hard and expensive ow to get a nice prominent Nokton. the one i got has bubbles in it. but this is the best I can afford for now.
and there are many versions of Prominent Nokton as well. very rare now!

Oh.. i meant the old CZ Sonnar for the Contax rangefinders or for LTM (expensive and rare)! I'm fortunate to own a good copy of it in Contax mount, will need an amadeo adapter for it for M mount. The bubbles in glass, from what I read, signifies good quality of glass due to limited manufacturing processes in the past <http://www.zeisscamera.com/services_overhaul-cIIa-lenses.shtml>.

I used a Prominent with this lens about fifty years ago when I was working part-time for a professional photographer in Rotorua, New Zealand. It was a wonderful combination, and I'd be very happy to find it.

today I received a whole set of the Prominent camera with another 50mm Nokton from an eBay seller.
and I am surprised that this set is very well maintained.
forgive my BBB virus.
guess I will shoot one roll of film with this vintage toy!

when the Nokton is fully open, I found there is soft glow around highlight objects which looks quite nice.
