not really... the A50 f1.2 is rather common. can still get good copies relatively easily on ebay... in fact, there were rumours that small numbers were still being produced in the Vietnam plant at one time so its probably not a good idea to pay too much for this lens. besides, anyone more interested in the lens will just want the glass to be clean. the colour of the barrel won't be a concern.

anyone willing to consider this set at this price will be a die-hard collector and it is priced for that type of potential buyer. there's also a gold set available at one time. i think it costs even more.

I think there were some new-old-stock sold very recently at very good prices. We might see more showing up on ebay or Pentaxforum soon.

I don't mind having the set if the prcie is half of what's asked for...
