I'm using the D100 version. It is pretty good as there are 7 setting which you can choose to sharpen your image. It goes beyond the standard USM sharpening. However, note that it can only work in 8-bits, on background layer only. Other than that, it is great, saving me heaps of time...
Yep, 8-bits per channel setting. It shows that the sharpening action is the last one to be done. If before you sharpen you have noise in the background, the action can sharpen with lesser noise then straight USM. But you should look into reducing the noise in the first place.
