Hi all, I've been wanting to get a little softbox for my flash so that I can use it on my mounted flash and shoot directly at my subject(portrait) but am not how good/effective it is. I saw this and I was wondering what kind of effect this softbox would get. Please advice, thanks!

Any diffusers you add to a flash product will cause a drop in the output. So you'll definitely lose some light output.

You may get your desired reduced flash output with a slightly more even output. But over a longer distance you may not get enough light out to the subject.
