Anyone did bridging to replace missing tooth b4? Do you know how long it will last before wearing out?

It depends, mine lasted only 5 years becuase my bottom teeth keep rubbing against it.

dun consult pte docs.. or if yes.. consult someone u know

i had 2 bridge tooth.. 1 left and 1 right
i consulted a pte dentist.. and tt cost me 2K for 1 damn tooth
den i consulted my aunt's frd whos also a dentist.. and he charged me $80

I paid $400 for mine at a private dentist.

Wow, so much diff in prices?! Could the 2 have been very different cases?

The dentist said he'll have to 'chisel' away my 2 side teeth first to make more space for the fake tooth in-between them. After the chiseling, he'll have to cap the 2 for protection. Each cap costs $600! The bridge costs $350. So in total it'll be $600+$600+$350 = $1550!! WHOA!

It's a new dentist I'm seeing so I'm checking out the prices and procedure. Was told also bridging is not exactly permanent. Can wear out after 10 years or more?
