Its a fascinating place yet not too well travelled. Been seeing a lot of pictures and one I would definitely recommend to visit.
Sanaa is the capital and there are tourist kidnappings in Marib and the North although they are usually treated well and freed. Place like Marib need armed escorts and the North should be out of bounds now. However, the rest of the places are safe and I read that Yemeni are very friendly people. In fact, there are people who said its one of the safest cities around and although its opening up it still retains a lot of its culture and charm.
