Anybody tried the Swivi on a Pentax yet?

its supposed to plug into the camera's HDMI slot. not sure how that would work on a pentax DSLR... its definitely a good to have :) adds to the bulk significantly though.

Well its certainly not meant for street shooting. But it will certainly be useful for video and landscape - if it works.

But what is the practical use of it??

off the top of my head, macro? ;p

big screen with focus peaking might help with focus accuracy  that, and the chance to blow some cash on a flashy new toy... :bsmilie:

LCD loupe much cheaper with 3x optical magnification.
You should try it. Very very accurate and stable for macro using LV.

On the market, there is also a wireless LCD panel for DSLRs.

Can walk around with it attached to eye like a cyborg :D

Well for video primarily, a loupe is useful when you wish to be mobile. But for checking composition and stuff like that, an external monitor works better.
