Anybody know how to mount other lens on G1 body

Hi, guys,

I am a newbie.

May I know how to mount other brands lens on panasonic G1 body, I realize have some adapter can mount the lens on G1, but I am so confused.

I need your advice.

You'll need adpater to mount non micro 4/3 lenses on G1. Like this:

EF lens -> EF to m4/3 adapter -> G1
4/3 lens -> 4/3 to m4/3 adapter -> G1
...

You'll lose auto focus most of the time. I'm not sure about metering thou.

Titan10k is correct, just make sure you use the right adapter for the right lens... it comes in many different adapters for different mount types.

I found it easier to mount lens onto adapter 1st and then onto camera, however a friend of mine prefer the other way mount adapter onto camera 1st and then mount lens to adapter, so either way is ok... whichever suite you best.

There are guides like a red or black dots on the adapter to help guide you. Not difficult at all.

thanks for your guys advice. I have asked MS at AMK hub, they said have not micro 3/4 adaptor yet. must wait for olympus new micro 3/4 camera lauching ad share their lens.
