To see the requirements.
Important thing is the photo must be 400 x 514 pixel in size. They will not accept anything other than that. All can be submitted via internet. I recently took my own mug shots of my son and got both done online.

I was actually thinking of developing them onto a 4R hard-copy, so that I can use them for other purposes other than on a passport...

Anyone has a photoshop template?

In photoshop open a new empty 4R ( 4 inch X 6 inch ) layer. Divide it into 8 2 inch X 1 1/2 inch ie 4 inch div 2 and 6 inch div by 4. Volia!!! you have your template.
