Any softwares to create animated GIF files?

Hi All...

I have a sequence of photos which I need to string together into an animated GIF file...

Does anyone know what software is available to do this? I'm using an iMac, so would prefer a Mac compatible software... otherwise, I can still make do by going back to my slow Windows laptop...

its quite difficult to explain, but actually very easy to do. i suggest you read the short "help" topic on it. its listed as "web animation" or just "animation".

basically, the more layers of images you create, and the more "steps" of opacity increase/decrease, you'd get a much smoother image.
