Hi,

Anyone can recommend any good compact camera? My budget is around $400.

:dunno:

Do a search for "compact camera". You'd be amazed how many people ask the same question you did. Many good recommendations in those threads already.

Define "good" from your perspective. What do you need? What do you intend to do with it? There are sticky threads in newbies corner about compact and prosumer cameras. Have a look there.

There are many categories in compact leh, what do u really want??

actually depend on the brand ..there is a few which fall between ur budget ...

canon is120 think is in ur range also ..:)

agree. for budget of $400, can get ixus120is. if can stretch to $450 or so, can get Fuji F200EXR. :D

IXUS120 selling at 438 in Parisilk HV.
Do you want full manual control?

With the budget of $400 for a compact cam, you have a lot to choose from.

Sorry but you should at least give some criteria like these..
- 10MP
- Waterproof? Shockproof?
- Slim?

Then people here will be able to help you.. ;)

Thank you fellows. My apology for lacking to provide more details.

I'm looking for the following criteria:-
- Slim
- Fully auto
- Rich colors quality
- Price approximately $400
- Prefer brands (Canon or Nikon)
- With Macro Feature

I might be biased, can also consider DSC-H20.

Pros:
- 10x zoom
- Hardware Image Stabilizer
- Good image quality
- Semi manual control
- Intelligent Auto

Cons:
- Wide angle is not great

You should also include the type of focus range that you would like to use, then sort out the most important factor that you want first. eg:

1) budget
2) Range
3) HD movie recording .. etc ..

Follow your guide line, then do isolation. After that ... go for hands on, bring a SD card along and view it at ur PC with large display.

The last step. Go buy it. Better do it fast as its the holiday sales now. Lots of freebies will be given. LoL

For Canon below $400 (and slim), I guess only IXUS100 and IXUS95...

All cameras have a brand. And for compacts, Sony, Canon, Panasonic are the "bigger" players.

Sony is good
i guess you should go courts go try all the camera yourself as they put all the camera on display for people to try out ...

Hi Fellows,

I've scope down to Fujifilm F series, Cannon Ixus & Panasonic Lumix FX series.

Anyone have any good suggestions before I conclude. I learnt that there will be a Electronic Fair at Suntec this Sat at level 6. I'm likely to purchase my camera there
