Any prosumers to recommend??

Hello guys, my friend has asked me to recommend him a prosumer camera. I have read through the reviews but nothing beats opinions from users. The camera that he needs must have at least zoom to 200mm. Panasonic cameras are out as he had one and was frightened by it's noise levels....can anyone help?

The Fuji's not too bad.
I personally like the Sony DSC-H1 for $700 range.
