Heya,

Any freeware for photoresizing to recommend?

Looking for the following:
1. Light, utilize little resources
2. Can batch process
3. Can set compression ratio and output size

I can do resizing in PS, but it takes a little too much time for the casual resizing. Currently i use a windows powertool (image resizer), but it's compression ratio is a little too heavy.

Thanks! ;)

GIMP, Picasa2

Try Irfanview.

I just tried irfanview...find that the interface is abit cluttered. Actually i believe most of those recommended here are imageviewers...i'm actually looking out more for purely image resizers.

eg. Like the windows powertool - image resizer. Allows me to right-click an image and choose the size i want from explorer itself. Very fast and convenient. Only pitfall is its compression ratio is too strong.

Anyway thanks for the replies so far! :)

Try this

http://www.showyourphotos.com/

It is free for the first 30 uses.

But what you can do is to uninstall the program after 30 uses and then re-install again.

Picture Resizer 2.0
http://www.rw-designer.com/picture-resize

Small - one single EXE file, no installation needed
Easy - drag and drop photo files onto the program's icon
Powerful - create shortcuts on the desktop with various parameters (file size, compression ratio, sharpenning, setting DPI etc.), or context menu "send to"s for easy operation.
Free - as in free of charge.
