Hi, just curious to know what's the difference  for Lcd with/without 16.7m colours & (8-bit)?

Thanks.

diff? the color range lor... and some said the viewing angle is indirectly affect due to different production...

Well, is the difference obvious when doing editing (Ps)?

if you eyes are color sensitive enough, you can see the different... otherwise :dunno:

actually its not so much the colour range is different but that higher bit depth should give smoother graduations of colours within the range the monitor can reproduce... :)

The colour depth has nothing to do with viewing angle..

Anyway colour depth solves the problem of banding, when you can see strips of different shades of a colour, instead of a smooth blend. A good example would be bars like the top bar of last.fm. Toy with the contrast, gamma, and brightness in display options and you'll see colour banding eventually with most monitors, because the monitor is unable to produce the shades of the colour required.

no, what i mean is most 8bits panel claim to have got higher viewing angle than 6bits... primary due to the different production of panel. some people even use the viewing angle to determine if the panel is 6 or 8 bits when it is not stated in the spec...
