Hi,

Understand Nikon iTTL use both pre-flash & subject-distance(from the lense) to determine the qty of light,
But if you use the speedlight off-camera,
will it still use the subject-distance to determine the qty of light ?

By changing the exposure compensation,
eg. from 0 to -3 stop,
Will the exposure compensation cause the speedlight to change the qty of light, assuming all other thing is the same.

Thanks

Definitely... there is a sensor at the front of the flash to receive the amount of light reflected from the subject.

Yes, changing the exposure compensation does affect. Practise and check out the results and you'll see. :)

Thanks,

I just found out another work-around when using the speedlight off-camera.
