WAH-PIANGZ!

Of all things, I kenar some stupid security companies fighting to autodownload their anti-virus softwares into my PC!

http://winspycontrol.com/data/index...b12060751031711577654173e035605010c0902070706

http://pageforsafety.com/ and

http://www.malwarecore.com/?aid=246

and more keep on popping up even as I type this! http://www.winspykiller.com/?advid=2654

I tried using my Norton to delete the downloader, but it couldn't.

They have taken over my homepage and installed menu bars and keep on popping up alerts to 'WARN' me that my computer may be infected so I should bla bla bla!

Even Microsoft tried to infiltrate my system to sell me the idea of downloading their anti-virus crap and firewalls.

Please ... someone tell me in simple English how do I get rid of these things before it screws me completely?

Thanks.

1) DISCONNECT YOUR LAN CABLE OR WIRELESS IMMEDIATELY!

2) now go to another pc, download free anti spyware utiltiies and the manual update files. (1) Spybot version 1.5.2.0 and the update file. (2) AVG Anti Spyware free and the update file.

3) Download free antivirus utilities. (1) AVG free edition which is excellent against trojan downloaders which are probably the things that are invading ur pc. (2) AVIRA anti virus free. download both manual udpate files as well.

4) Install everything with ur internet still disconnected. update all programs. Run them and remove all threats.

5) download HijackThis! HijackThis! is an excelltn program that gives u a good overview of all the applications running on ur pc. look out for suspicious entries and delete them

6) some serious spyware are stealthily cloaked. It may have multiple layers. For example, Trojan1.exe may be the visible infecting program. u may ctrl alt del and end task, and then delete trojan1.exe. but there may be a trojancreator.exe hidden somewhere deep in your computer that regenerates trojan1.exe. in such cases, it's a matter of patience, trial and error and lot's of time to remove all the infections.

All the best.

I dun have another PC, and I had problems de-installing Norton the last time till I gave up and just stuck with Norton.

oh crap. borrow a laptop?

okay, if not, install Mozilla first. do not use IE.

whilst using mozilla, go to housecall.trendmicro.com

run Housecall 6.6.

I find housecall to be an excellent free online scanner that detects and removes a lot of crap. make sure u use the COMPLETE SCAN option

OK. Am asking my firend who built this PC for me to look into it. Offline I go.

Thanks Isaiahfortythirtyone.

CHEERS.

i think he means 'security' company....

the malware these days are firefox aware too.

go to http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/ to get some help... it is a good site. don't worry too much about pop-ups, etc. your computer is still working...

Use CCleaner. Its free. Uninstall all the crap (that's what the C in CCleaner is) and install AVG.
