Bah... and in the adverts they make it look like you could skateboard and take photos at the same time without getting blur shots!

that's wad most advert do. inflat certain feature of a product. its out 2 fool those blurr ppl!!

Just Bought the casio Z500

the AS dsp is fantastic.:D

Tried taking a picture like the advert for the panasonic fx9 (picture taken with the hand shaking)and the pictures came out quite OK.

But I still don't know how the DSP works.

Arghhh... so what should I buy?

Lumix LZ-1 or Ex-Z110?????????

Since you have narrowed down your choice ,
I would suggest you go down to the shop and have a hands on.
(One Man's meat is another Man's poision);)

Btw I bought the z500 for $550

is megaOIS more superior than DSP or the other way round?

do you realize all the posts in this thread do not answer you question, but is focuses on whether anti-shake works(or not) ?

personally, I'd get the panasonic (maybe I'm suckered by their huge advertising on their so called Mega OIS, which sounds so cool eventho I dont know crap whether it really works, lol)

but then, I think faster ISO is the best, and currently some Fuji Finepix's are quite popular for that capability, good examples are the S9500, S5600, F11, F10...
