 ... I think I spent so much time there ... drinking, eating dinner at the shack nearer to the jetty, back to the pool the next morning. I just didn't mind walking all the steps required. Of course, there's a cable trolley that brings you down and up, but it only starts at 9am! I am already there at 7.30am! kekeke...

Must go back again!

Tried to wake up at 6am, but end up waking up around 615am. But alas, the sun's already quite high. I still think Bali's should be an hour behind Singapore. They just prefer the simplicity of marking it the same! ... Ok, the other thing is given that it's Jimbaran (west side), sun's not there. So not a place for dawn shoot.

Totally deserted, and felt totally stranded on the jetty with waves crashing onto the Jetty, you can't help feeling your legs going a little 'soft'. ;-p

I like the B & W version, what do you think?

Another angle ... this is already 1/2 hr later ... and you can see the sky's brighten up so much. It'll be a typical 7.30 - 8.00 am SGT isn't it! This view actually shows the SPA huts on the rocks. Pity you can't really see it in the picture.

Which would you prefer? Colour?

After the morning shoot, booked a private tour with the front desk, and intention's to head down to Kintamani. Along the way, we stopped first at a local silver factory. They custom make those silver jewelry, and extremely small scale in operations. Basically it's the 3 desk (see picture #24).

Boss of GALA Silver Factory - just bought 1 piece of jewelry from him and he's already showing his heart felt thanks ...

It was also a chance for us to visit their typical living compound. I end up chasing after the mother hen and its chicks for shots whilst the others shop for silver earrings / bracelets! :bsmilie:

DESA ADAT BATUAN, ISAKA 944

After the GALA Silver Factory, it's 1 of the oldest Bali Temples... Super bright sunshine (not very good for photography). This is some that I still managed to capture.

Thanks for popping in!
It's Ayana Resort and Spa, and the dinner is at the Kisik Bar and Grill. Special Lobster dinner only for private jetty area.

Just before we reach Kintamani, stopped by a waterfall which is practically the life source for the locals in this kampung. They even stand near the entrance to this place, requesting for entrance fees (for a tourist spot).

For #32, you can actually see a native (naked) at the waterfall area, probably trying to spear a fish for lunch? Talking about lunch ... we are going to the next destination - Kintamani for lunch!

Before reaching Kintamani, the heavens started to open up and pour down heavily. According to the driver, extremely experience 1, he said that at Lake Batur overlooking Kintamani, it's likely not to be raining ... but we'll have to hurry.

Sure enough, it's not raining, but you could feel the clouds coming in, fog settling in very soon. So without wasting any more time, I quickly rush into the restaurant overlooking the Kintamani Volcanoes, and Lake Batur for a shot ... here's a lackluster version ... and my very 1st pana!

The funny thing is that the chick might be a little OOF? I like it regardless, and yes it's a "nice chick".

:bsmilie: I Love the Pool too!

Next stop was meant to be UBUD. But it's raining so heavily, and the place being so crowded, I was thinking twice. The tour guide suggested that he head for a nice relax location just to taste some Kopi, specifically Kopi Luwak (30000 Ruppiah - 1 cup).

We ended up relaxing in a hut, drinking the Bali Kopi, and ordered just 1 cup of Kopi Luwak. And for those who don't know what it is ... refer here.

Didn't take too much photos here ... but caught this lady roasting the beans.

Terraces of Padi... different grains they have. Traditional ones you'll get 1/2 yearly harvest while the latest strains (not thin and long) takes only 4 mths to mature. Tourguide suggested that there are still many traditional ones around as Bali folks tends to try preserve the balance of mother nature ... he did mention that it's probably due to the religion as well.

As usual, I get bad weather... drizzling, and couldn't really stop for long by the roadside. (If the K-7 + WR Kit comes earlier to town!)
