Exactly, the design is too safe and not much of a breakthrough.:thumbsd: But i expected Genting to win coz all along those people that make decisions always go for those safe-looking designs.:thumbsd: Sad...

I don't like Genting's design. But it's a very pleasing design, Michael Graves reminds me of Aldo Rossi.

I love Kerzner, but the design is too overpowering. Gehry could had opted for a less overpowering design, much like Dancing Building in Prague instead of something like Guggenhiem Bilbao. 8th Wonder's ideas sound good in the short run, but I doubt it will be good in the long run, like the artificial volcano, cooking and football schools.

Yeah, right! If someone else won, not only they "buay song", they will probably build an IR at Danga Bay, Johor Bahru to compete for the $$$$. I feel there is some political element involved when deciding Genting to be the winner. To me, Genting's bid is more attractive with their offering of Universal Studio as the latter promised to build the biggest studio in the world. This alone will definitely pull in a huge crowd.
