Come listen to three young talented women photographers speak on their work. Armed with awards and publications, Jennifer Koh, Erica Lai and Genevieve Chua promises something different from the usual male-dominated point of view. Moderated by Jason Wee. Also catch their exhibition, which runs till the 7th July.

Jennifer Koh is the co-author of the book Light is Like Water. Erica Lai is a photo award winner in the UOB Painting of the Year competition. Genevieve Chua recently exhibited her drawings at La Libreria Gallery. Jason Wee is the 2004 Shell-NAC Award winner. His last work in Singapore was included in the 1st Singapore Biennale.

The three female photographers will be sharing their artistic practice thus far- related in part to the ongoing exhibition at pkworms 'extra ordinary'- which plays with the notion that what is extraordinary is the truly ordinary- but the talk is not limited to the works on show.

Come with a ear to listen, an eye to see, and questions to field.

Exhibition runs from 14th June till 7th July 2007

'extra ordinary' features three talented young women photographers, Erica Lai, Jennifer Koh, and Genevieve Chua. These polaroids and small-format prints feature images of flowers of the familiar sort – bougainvilleas, orchids, among others. The 9th Emerging Artists Show features the works of 86 artists, all of whom graduated from art programs this year.

Jennifer Koh is co-author with Jasmine Seah of the acclaimed photography and poetry book Light is like Water. Erica Lai is a photographer award winner in the UOB Painting of the Year competition. Genevieve Chua is a well-regarded queer artist whose drawings are recently on view at La Libreria gallery. The curator Jason Wee is the 2004 Shell-NAC Award winner. He last shown in the 1st Singapore Biennale.

Galley opening hours are from 11am – 6pm (Tuesdays to Saturdays)
Closed on Sundays, Mondays and Public Holidays
