i was fortunate to be able to get photo access to the "An Evening with Ricky Martin" showcase , organised by MTV Asia and Sony Music. here are some highlights...

well my waistline is definitely bigger that's for sure hahaha.

and yeah i know about the chopped hands... was trying to zoom out but hs was moving his arms and erm... bod-dee a bit too vigourously. too many people blocking me too... :D

Just wondering, how does one get a pass for events yeah?

i managed to wiggle a photo pass out of one of local media, out of goodwill. i do a bit of freelance here and there so... ;)

Well done for that and for getting the press pass to shoot this.
Just wanted to know – did you shoot in RAW and then converted to jpg?
Control of noise looks good.

wow.. what are the settings for the shots? looks like no flash was used yet the shots are extremely sharp.. almost impossible to achieve with prosumer cams even..

no, i shot in JPEG actually. too lazy to shoot in RAW for non-paid events. :D

all in ISO 800, and yes you're right - no flash was used (not allowed by the organisers actually, cos of the TV filming). no USM or touch-up done, just re-sizing and adjusting the levels a bit for web.

actually, good fren of mine PMed me, say it's not as sharp as it should be... guess i should have done some sharpening... ;)
