Mebbe can include some contrasting (in terms of colour) items in the background even though it's blur, so that the cup cake will stand out even more?

erm, paul... ur monitor has to be calibrated too.


there are many ways to go around tuning down the different colour casts.
a personal favourite of mine is to go straight to Photoshop...

Image... Adjustments... Selective Colour...
