Do an alternate history about WW2, if the 22nd Brigade had held the line at Kranji and Percival decided to fight on and draw the Japs into urban warfare.

Life will still go on and without cameras, we will be carrying an artist painting kit everywhere we go capturing scene we see for posterity like the way it was done in the old days.

Yeah, just as good as what if GBE never existed, or was conquered in totality by the French and that the French First Internationale never existed, and the industry revolution never actually took place. Monsieur Stamforde will not have step foot on Singapura, and there won't be the mass-influx of immigrants to this land.

Oh. That life will be very very different.

Alternatively: CM David Marshall, despites the many differences with the GBE officials, managed to secure full self-government, and that Singaporeans start to believe in the Labour Front.

Widespread communist activities, gargantuan labour movements, overly-opened market, merge with Malaya, still she will get out, and 1) Follow the path of ***, and economy picks-up; 2) Civil war rages as communist and socialists fought. Perhaps MCP will join the "comrades" in Singapore, takes over her, gang up with PKI and creates a pro-socialistic ASEAN.

Man, alternative history is unlimited!

Anyway, if we really happened to have became communist, perhaps we would have our very own cosmonauts or puekinauts by now.
