Film: Fuji Press 800 pushed 1 stop

why are some photos okay while others are outright grainly?
aperture?

Tip: Use Superia 1600. I ever blow one up on S8R.... had no apparent grains.
 

not bad pics man! considering cannot use flash and all!
saw the entire albums!
