taken at 4am in the morning...i think i was too sleepy to focus the object properly

viewing thru the eyepiece is definitely much sharper

btw, i can even see the 4 satellite around juipter....but then they were cropped away already

Not really. Jupiter is oval in shape and not spherical as in most planets. So it kind of gave an effect of vignetting. Furthermore the north and south pole has very thick bands and due to the soft focus, it just further enchance the vignetting look.
