AF 360 ready test light not liting

hi all,

i've just got the as-360 flash, however it doesnt fire. the ready-test lamp never lits up. is it due to the battery problem?

sorry to add on, im using energizer rechargeable batteries.

I don't have the 360 but have the 540. I find it is quite sensitive to the battery voltage. If it is not quite right, say one of the batteries is low in charge, the flash will not light up and fire. Best thing is try another set of batteries - use a fresh set of normal alkaline battery (duracell, energiser etc) and see whether it fires.

2. Check that the battery door is fully closed

It's the battery problem.

Energizer rechargeables, simply not reliable I have those and eneloops. My energizers screw up at times and need a total recharge before they work again, while the eneloops never fail me.
