[Advise needed] Get which DSLR better? for my case?

Hi guys ,

I need help on getting my virgin DSLR cam , my budget is about 1.6k .

actually i'm thinking of getting a D90 but then i think D90 with kit will cost around 1.9k~2.2k
so i'm now thinking of should i get a D80 or is there other cam that is better then D80 but is within my budget?

Are you in a hurry? If not, then wait a couple months after the D90's release. I'm sure it'll settle down to more reasonable levels.

as a matter of curiousity, why not canon? i think the 450d is going at 1.3k with alot of stuff bundled. or the 40d should be arnd 1.5k.

If you are into Nikon..... suggest you just wait and save abit more for the New D90. If Buget is really really an issue :sweat:..... then D60 is a good capable camera. If any brand also no problem.... Canon 450D would be within your buget.

1.6 k is a good budget. But why Nikon? There are many other good brands out there.

i wouldnt recommend d60, d40 if you are into upgrading your gears or to better lenses, as you should know they do not have internal focusing motor. d80 is kinda old especially when d90 is coming out, but if you dont mind backdated technology, yea it is a good camera.

and do give other camera a consideration.

Yes, D90 body + 18-55VR second hand, should be in your current budget range.

if u're particular abt getting a new one ... either is fine ... in fact any brand is fine .. just go to the shop and play play ..

if u're on a budget and wanna get a decent one before diving in ... then get a cheap 2nd hand one ... there are a few dslr (various brands) going for below 400 w/ kit lens ...
