I am a D80 user and have bought a SB 800 for almost a month.. So far I have very little idea on how to use my SB800.. I went to cover the Redbull Motorcross event for my school online magazine but I did not know how to adjust it on M mode under that kind of lighting condition.. Can you give me some advices about how to learn to use flashlights step by step / what are the things I need to know or practice/ Is there any good learning material for beginners( besides the manual that I found to be hard to comprehend ?)
I am currently the only photographer for my school magazine and newspaper. But I really have little experiences. I would like to learn how to do studio shoot. How do I start this ? Must I go for some workshop? If I go for a workshop, how should I practice after that to get better?
I also think that I need to learn to do strobe setting. What are the basic equipment I need to purchase? And what is the fastest way to learn it ? Any advice on this is welcome.
