I'm looking to get a tripod. Primarily, more for video than still photography. Can anyone help guide me in the right direction. My budget's about $150+.

Let me guide you. The right direction is in the direction of a store like Cathay Photo. Go there try out the stuff and see which ones suit your needs and your budget.

As a rule of thumb, if you are doing video, ball heads are out. You need a pan head.

For $150, get the Benro A300EX. It's the best for the price.

Remember for video work, you probably want to get a tripod that is much taller, with center column unraised.
