Advice Needed on taking Cobwebs~

Hi, just needed some advice when taking spider cobwebs in broad daylight ...



Was taken at around 1100 am when the sunlight was relatively high, is there anyway to really capture the entire pattern of the spider web given this difficult background contrast ...

Anyway, here are some buggy pics taken with my 18-55mm

Might want to consider a using longer zoom to get a shallower DOF and concentrate more on the spider web. Since fWord is so into EXIF, first shot taken with 200 f/2VR, 2nd shot with 70-200 f/2.8 VR and D2X. No flash was used f/4~f/5.6 at ISO200-400 with matrix metering @ Aperture Priority.

The equipment was with compliments (loan) from Nikon SG of course...
