Another record shot, the only survivor from the shoot at Jelutong Tower on National Day morning :

D70 + 480mm scope + 2x Barlow (similar to 2x TC), giving me ~ 1440mm

... seems like it is really difficult to get any nice shots from the top of the tower ... I can only manage what you guys call 'record shots' so far

there are shots you can get from the tower that you can't get anywhere else, thats what makes the tower so special.

Hm, yeah, I fully agree

Thats why I keep going back for more :D

Thanks for your kind comments, JAG and Avatar :embrass:

JAG : the lens is not huge lah, it's a 480mm but it's f/6.8 , so the lens diameter is only 70mm :p

Great record shot of the woodpecker, Sam. Reasonably sharp and good exposure considered you were shooting thru a scope. Well done!

Thanks, ccplim and Garion.

I've managed to get seperate shots of the juvenile and the adult so far.

I think the next record shot I'm aiming for is one showing both the adult and juvenile together on their tree.
