1. In what area is critique to be sought?
Composition, photography techniques & "story-telling".

2. What one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
I wanted to portray a sense of being denied, and losing hope.

3. Under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)
I was with my friends at Dempsey area for an photo shoot outing. It was late afternoon, where lighting was sufficient, but not glaring.

4. What the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture
I think that the correct things were there, but I'm not sure if I managed to bring out what I felt from it.

This is a well executed photo technically.
Access denied yes, however, I can't feel the "losing hope" Probably, becos the chain and the lock looks gleaming new.

edit: blue. (sorry too sleepy :p)

@coolthought: Thanks! I felt the same way about the locks after too, but only after the pp.

@Override: Thanks for commenting!

looks nice. will have it as part of a story rather than a stand alone picture.

Nice photo... I really like it... well executed.

The only thing that I can think to improve it that the lock should have been placed a little closer to the left hand corner. This would have put more "space" for the viewer to view the blurred background which represents the emptiness of hope.
