Did you install the softwares in the CD-Roms that came along with your camera?

You should install the latest DPP provided in the CD.

Can you help us by describing your problem in a more detailed way? main question: which program is not able to open the RAW file? The software on the CD (Canon DPP) is very well able to open th RAW file. Get the latest update from internet, after you install the CD version.
