Hi........ We are from Pioneer Junior College. We are doing a project regarding the increasing trend of pets abandoned by their owners. We will be very grateful if you could kindly answer these following questions. Thank you :)

1.) There has been an increase in the number of pets abandoned by their owners. What are your opinions on this issue ?

2.) In your view what are the reasons for people abandoning their pets ?

3.) What kind of punishment should be meted out to those who abandon their pets ?

4.) What are the responsibilities that come along with owning a pet ?

Thanks very much for your kind attention. (^^,)

1) pple often overlook the responsibilities of owning a pet, so when 'the going gets tough', they look for the easy alternative of abandoning their pets.
2) no time to clean up the mess pets often leave behind. Eg, pet drop fur, pet falls ill, pet poo all over...
3) If caught, pay a fine and go do community service at SPCA
4) Must shower love to your pets. Must respect life.

People may not know exactly what to expect after buying a cute pet from pet shop. Need more public education on the 'thereafter' of owning a pet.

2.) In your view what are the reasons for people abandoning their pets ?

Pet pee and poo around the house, owner need to clean up after them. Pet got sick and need medical care, which can be quite expensive. Pet grew up and not so cute, coupled with the troubles pet gave.

3.) What kind of punishments should be meted out to those who abandon their pets ?

Fine! Fine! Fine!

4.) What are the responsibilities that come along with owning a pet ?

Take care of its meal, medical, comfort.
Give time to the pet. Play with them.
Bring them out to socialise.
