Hi,

I just wish to ask if this normal:

I have a TCON Olympus C180 (1.7X) that come with my old Olympus IS200, thread size is 52 mm, which fix nicely with my A80 with adaptor. However, I discover that the image was partially blocked when the TCON is fitted when not fully zoomed. I can see that the round black things that block image from LCD, it will only go away when the lens is fully extended.

I wonder is this normal? Or if the same will happen with other TCON on my A80 if I will to change (to say Vitalcon?).

Thanks for advising in advance.

Even the original Canon TCon also got the dark corner problem. Maybe you can try some third party one will give you better result. Tried GroBartiG one have no problem

Yes, it's normal - it's called vignetting btw. I read that the vitacon ones degrade image quality considerably, so I wouldn't really consider them.

Btw, if vignetting occurs even at full zoom, then that TC isn't really suitable for your cam.

Saw a website in the US that sell 37mm adaptor which is superior to Canon's 52mm version.

anyone with experience with it would like to comment? :what:
