Hi im wondering whether i should get the a200 for $450 of the fujifilm s9600 for $330? I've read alot about both cameras, like what im reading and i really appreciate honest feedback. Need the cam asap.

It's an easy choice... It's a DSLR vs. a prosumer cam. The Fuji will give you video, the A200 will give you all the image quality of a DSLR withthe ability to interchange lenses.

If you need image quality, the A200 is the way to go.

A prosumer basic setup allow you to take macro and the zoom range is normally higher.

with a prosumer...basically what you pay is the end of it. with a slr, you are buying a system which is as expensive as you want it to be.

if you dont mind, i recommend a second hand 350D or Nikon equivalent. The reason why is that there are plenty of rental shops for these 2 brands if you are a hobbyist.
