Hi Pals..

Just trying my hand on creating an icon for my website....its to be a photographer thingy...
Please bear my beginners tweenings....

Anyway..please provide constructive feeds if you have....especually for those who are trained animators....

here you go....its meant to compliment my current website intro...

have yet to add either text dialogue or sound...

Did this today...so need polishing.

the animation is very blockish, what is the current frame rate ? maybe u wanna increase it ?

rather good (i ams sure u did alot of corrections for the character) for the first time.

hee hee. so looks like you.

i dun think increasing the frame rate will help much...

haha....

I actually bought a graphic tablet just for this trials over the weekend and then realised that...i dont really need to use the tablet much. Editing was really easier than i expected with just plain mouse....

Anyway...great inputs from you all. I will be slotting more frames between the transitions to have better smoothness.

Seems like you left out the tweening of the motions. You'll need to learn how to use motion tween to give a smooth flow to your animation..

Graphics tablet aren't really useful for this kind of art. They're more suited for painting or when repetitive stokes of motions are needed. You'll need to practice alot on using the tablet to get used to it.

wah use tablets leh... i still clicking my graphics with mouse....

Haha... cheapo tablet lah.....

Anyway, in some cases motion tween is not the best solution....

If you know how to use it properly, it will be. Use motion tween, then add key frames in-between the motion tween to fine tune it. For those that needs deformation, use shape tween.

Hiiie pals..tahnsk for the advice. Alas i got another free weekends to try out..and here is a result...beta release hhahaha

And here....a try in lip-sync.....siong for a first timer

Its really getting addictive.....well, just picking it up for fun....:)

usually when animators animate a walk they usually let the characters bob up and down folloing a curve... hmm how to show..

this is to exagerate the movement...

Hi Bro,

Yup...i did drew the graphics myself. Kinda hard though to draw it on tablet. But fixed the problem by placing a piece of paper over the tablet haha. The little clip initially started with the boat only. Then it grew forward and backwards into the scene in the room and the sunrise...into the little clip today....

Wow...very impressive work Sulhan...especially considering tat you've only been at it for 4 weeks!
