#2 is better as my eye easily pick out the rose in focus and some leafy green provides a slight separation from the rest of the flowers.

You might want to check the nikon CLS catalog for the same shoot.

I will take #1 for its freshness and croping. :thumbsup:

i would prefer #1's refreshing composition. but #2 is focus on that one rose also. but the white white thingy is sorta blocking it.

you can always borrow some flash units from lkm ;p

i have to disagree with you. you don't need many flash units to do CLS, in fact you only need 1 external flash unit.
