Hi all ,

A question to jc1 (as I refer to a photo of yours) or anyone that can assist.

In Land/City-Scapes..../Blue Sky thread/... Post #64 on 04/04/06.

The tree on the right.

What causes the sky to be lighter (as in a halo effect) around the tree ?

Cheers :)

Hi +evenstar,

I was thinking that, but I thought that I might leave the question open to anyone that may have a suggestion as to why.

Cheers :)

wat about dodging and burning?

Hi Witness,

The question is not so much as how to fix it.

More as to why it happens :dunno:

I have had a similar thing in a couple of photo's and can't figure why.

Exposure settings seemed right at the time, but something like this halo effect came out.

I am curious as to why.

Cheers :)

i tink it may be due to the way the lens captures lights...or possibly some backlighting or sth...hmmzzz.....

I think the sun was behind the tree? And possible because the tree emits water vapour (mist) which might have scattered the light. :dunno:
