i always using a 3rd party battery on my battery grip ...
i will use a original battery when i using the body itself without any battery grip

Can use. But if some function don't work well, or if something goes wrong... don't cry lor.

E.g. for D300s or D700 batt grips, there is a known issue with some 3rd party batts that the power consumption will not switch over from the batt in the grip to the one in the camera. So beware.
