Why not ? I am doing that .So far, no explosions , leaks or anything extraordinary happened.

can why not ... unless your camera dont like 3rd party battery :bsmilie:
i always using a 3rd party battery on my battery grip ...
i will use a original battery when i using the body itself without any battery grip

Aiyo, if they sell for your model then it is compatible else how they sell???

But for some, the Cam may not show the battery level .....

People who want to sell something will do a lot to convince buyers. Some will even sell snake oil to remove noise from images ...

Can use. But if some function don't work well, or if something goes wrong... don't cry lor.

E.g. for D300s or D700 batt grips, there is a known issue with some 3rd party batts that the power consumption will not switch over from the batt in the grip to the one in the camera. So beware.
