yea.. well i guess it would depend on how large ur files are.. for me i'll probably be transferring 256mb at any 1 time.. so usb1.1 should still be pretty ok..

somemore its using AA batts so don't have to worry about the li-ion batt dying.

Erm, no.

Why would I want to copy files from a 1GB CF card to a 128MB thumb drive? The only utility would be to copy it to a hard disk in a USB casing, but we already have the Image Tank and its descendants doing this in a dedicated fashion (think carrying around one device vs two).

What we really need is a vertical grip with a built-in HD interface and casing.

This was the storage means when DSLR technology was still in its infancy. Using a PCMCIA hard disk inserted into the grip.
