I use my IR converted camera for a lot of things besides the basic landscape shots. One place I like to take it is to the zoo. This first one is a panorama of three frames. I expected the elephants to move so I minimized the amount of them in the side frames.

2. Bonobo Family- not really any IR effect on this shot but it was taken with my IR camera. I added a bit of blur to the background and some of the foreground. Went for an old photo look. Bonobos are probably the closest primates to humans.

A couple for the birds- or of the birds.

3. Flamingo Flock (do you call them a flock?) They were getting excited because they were about to be fed.

4. Heron. Not a zoo animal but a local bird who likes the free buffet and nice swimming pool. Snuck in the back door somewhere.

Heck. How about just a couple of more? How's the weather where you are? We are doing better today (hence the zoo visit) but had some fog and rain recently. Not great for infrared but you can still get out and shoot.

4. Foggy Beach Boy- playing in the sand while some seagulls hang out on the wet sand (the tide was on its way out). Again, not a lot of IR effect but taken with the IR.

5. Rainy Day

I don't mind at all! I think your treatment of the flamingos works the best. I was still not quite happy with that one although I do think it has promise. I will have to work on it some more I think. Thank you for the work and sharing it!

Since there was really little light getting through the fog, it did not matter if I used my visible light camera (Nikon D80) or the infrared camera. There was little difference and I did try both. This was my favorite with the D80 and my 10- 20mm Sigma lens (no cropping):
