+ i could crop the right side of the photo
(better composition?)

+ sun doesnt always hae to be in the enter. cos i think you need the balance in composition with the family.

+ crop the horizon lower abit (less of the sky)

+ u can use PS. add more black towards the girl's head. or else she looks transparent

Yes, something like that. However, it's more of a guideline than a rule.
