Hi

Elliot Erwitt's a very highly talented, eccentric, poetic photographer with an incredible wit and a sense of humour to go along with it. I first read about him through an interview in LensWork black and white fine art photography magazine. Curiousity got the better of me, and i tried to find out more about him and find more photos taken by him.

i highly recommend Elliot Erwitt's SNAP (which i believe is at Kino at Taka), a HUGE book of Erwitt's incredible photos (a lot of them very humourous). Highly entertaining volume, with very very very very good photography.

Some of his other titles are here:

Son of Bitch is VERY funny!
His Museum book is highly recommended, and can be found on the same shelf as SNAP.

Go check out his book if u got the time. it's really worth it.

How much does Kinokuniya sell "SNAP"?

recently I just saw 2 books,

I bought one... now comtemplating should I get the other

the one I got is by mimmo jodice

and the other is by paul graham !!

For a book on photography with minimal amount of photographs, read Susan Sontag's On Photography.

As listed on Amazon

If the link doesn't work, go research on the book anyway.

I first saw Snap in the National Library Reference Section. Great humour.

Wah so ex...one thing about photography... damn expensive hobby...even the books are so ex...:(

But then again...;p

Try Basheer's books @ Bra Brasah for cheaper alternatives.

Ok I'll go take a look! ;)
