There's the letters A and P in front of filters, I'm not sure what they mean but having a guess, I would say A stand for amateur and P stands for professional since P filters are more expensive than A ones. Am I right?

Either way, I would like to know what are the differences between them?

I think you may need to be a little more specific - e.g. which brand. It may just be a model number. I haven't got A or P on my filters. First time I've heard of amateur and professional filters.. anyone else?

He could be referring to Cokin A & P series. If it's really referring to that, read THIS
