Los Angeles-based photographer Mitchel Wu has made a name for himself by creating action-packed photos featuring plastic toys. 60 Second Docs caught up with Wu and made this 60-second mini-documentary that offers a look into his work.
“Disney hired [Wu] to create surreal scenes from their iconic franchises like Toy Story and Star Wars,” 60 Second Docs writes. “Using practical effects like liquid splashes, and digital effects in Photoshop, the former wedding photographer and recreates the illusion of motion film in a still.”
Wu tells us that 6 hours of filming went into the 60-second video.
