Hi, how do u keep ur lense at 300 mm lens position when positioning 90 degress for a moon shot. Other than holding on to the zoom ring, which will cause shaking, I've no idea :dunno:

Erm, not to be rude but can you keep all your questions in one thread, you have started at least 3 within the last hour.

Try taping some gaffer on the zoom ring?

That's one option i guess. Must be a design flaw not to be able to stay locked at all length at all position.

70-300mm will creep back when position 90degree?
i think last time my copy still alright.

But guess it's not really so important.
if otherwise for you,use tape and mount on tripod.minimum shake.

Well, I guess keele dun't understand my question. I mean if ur lense is position 90 degrees to the sky, how do u keep the 300mm from sliding back to 70mm?

Does your lens have zoom lock?

Who's 70-300 are you using anyway? Canon? Sigma?

There is zoom lock only at 70mm. How nice it would be if you can lock at anywhere? Guess they could work on this issue?
